Saturn Pathology Terms and Conditions


1. Introduction

  • These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of pathology services by Saturn Pathology P/L in Australia.
  • By using our services, patients agree to these terms.

2. Services Provided

  • Diagnostic testing including blood, urine, tissue, and other pathology services.
  • Results are provided to the requesting healthcare practitioner and, where appropriate,directly to the patient.
  • Services are delivered in accordance with National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation standard.

3. Patient Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate personal and medical information.
  • Follow pre-test instructions (e.g., fasting requirements).
  • Pay any fees not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.

4. Fees and Billing

  • Mobile service incurs a booking fee. Payment is required before or at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
  • Medicare rebates apply where eligible.
  • Any services not covered by Medicare may be invoiced.

5. Test Results

  • Results are interpreted by qualified pathologists.
  • Turnaround times vary depending on the test.
  • Patients should consult their doctor for medical interpretation; the laboratory does not provide medical advice.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • The laboratory is not liable for decisions made by healthcare providers based on test results.
